I’m Barb, a Toronto-based personal chef specializing in in-home meal prep and private dining. After building my career in some of the city’s top kitchens, I now bring that experience directly into my clients’ homes, creating customized meals that make everyday life easier and more enjoyable.

About Me
I’m Barb, the chef behind Proud Palate, a Toronto-based personal chef service focused on in-home meal prep, private dining, and fully customized weekly menus.
I moved to Toronto in 2018, from São Paulo, Brazil, with a clear goal of building a career in the culinary industry. After graduating from the Culinary Management program at George Brown College in 2019, I worked in some of the city’s most respected restaurants, including Mamakas Taverna, Parallel, Mildred’s Temple Kitchen, and Lena Restaurante. In these kitchens, I held management positions where I led teams, oversaw operations, and executed high-volume service with consistency and attention to detail.
That experience shaped the way I approach food today. I bring structure, efficiency, and a high standard of execution into every client’s home, creating meals that feel both elevated and practical for everyday life.
Through Proud Palate, I now work as a personal chef in Toronto, offering in-home meal prep services designed for busy professionals, families, and individuals who want to eat well without spending time planning, shopping, and cooking.
Each session is tailored to your routine, preferences, and dietary needs. From menu planning to grocery coordination and cooking, everything is handled with care so you have fresh, ready-to-eat meals throughout the week.
I also offer private chef services for in-home dinners and special occasions.
