What You’ll Need at Home
You don’t need a large or professionally equipped kitchen to enjoy an in-home chef service.
A clean, functional space with a few basic essentials is all I need to prepare your meals comfortably and efficiently.
Kitchen Essentials
Please make sure your kitchen has:
-
A working stove and oven
-
A clear and clean countertop or preparation area
-
A functional sink with hot and cold running water
-
Space in the refrigerator and freezer for ingredients and prepared meals
-
Basic cookware, including pots, pans and baking sheets
-
Mixing bowls, cutting boards and basic kitchen utensils
-
Access to garbage, recycling and compost bins
-
Food storage containers for the prepared meals
-
Basic cleaning supplies, including dish soap, sponges and clean cloths
I bring my own chef’s knives and some specialized tools. If your kitchen is missing any essential equipment, please let me know before your session so we can make a plan.
Before Your Chef Arrives
To help the session run smoothly:
-
Please have the groceries available before the scheduled start time, unless grocery shopping has been added to your service.
-
Clear some space in the refrigerator, freezer and on the kitchen counter.
-
Make sure the kitchen and sink are ready to use.
-
Have your food-storage containers clean and easily accessible.
-
Keep pets and young children away from the cooking area for their safety.
-
If you have a dishwasher, please empty it before the session.
Every kitchen is different, and that’s completely okay. If you’re unsure whether your space has everything needed, feel free to send me a few photos or ask before booking.
